This is a finished prototype for a line of bowls and trays all based on this stretched plane theme. I am very interested in the simplicity of the form with its play of line and volume. Depending on your position one can view a pure rectangle or from the side a strong vertical line with the swelling volume towards the top. Its width at top is supported by the perpendicular pin, which allows for the purity of the plane to be evident. The edges are slightly highlighted so that the form is emphasized. And the patinas available give a wide variety of options in the final color.
