Macassar ebony, polished black lacquer over hard maple, stainless steel hardware This object was deigned with
the intention of participating in a refined urban environment. It is
designed to act as a sideboard but has additional storage for stemware.
The interior has three drawers for flatware and an ebony shelf for
the stems. My intention was to have this dark volume float above its
leg structure. The object was deigned to be able to fit with both traditional
and /or modern objects, so that the forms are simple, direct but still
referential to a historical vocabulary. I wanted a strong but refined
personality for this object; to reflect the quality of the owners I
envision owning it.
