Paper birch (solid wood throughout) These objects are intended for display as well as storage. They
are meant to work as a pair both right and left handed, but this
is an option. They want to bring displayed objects down into a
space or cascade across a wall. Photographs, ceramics, plants are
intended to take advantage of these different levels while yet
not displayed options can be stored in the case below. Three drawers
are integrated into each piece adding additional storage as well
as giving the structure its required strength. The main form of
construction is the hand cut half blind dovetails, with the pinned
tendon joints visible from the rear. This composition is all about
planes and the joining and interplay of planes. It's a kind of
Rietveld goes to Kyoto type of influence.
