Solid wood frame with powder coated aluminum seat (now available
in leather).
A later variation on the shield backs but more open and abstract.
They have the same objective in terms of grouping and defining space.
However this chair literally partially frames the occupant as they
are seated. I am interested in how a chair presents its user as well
as its comfort. The top rail is at the correct height for resting
ones arms. I am also fond of how direct the structure of this chair
defines its form. It is light and open but very strong. The diagonal
supports in the back are derived from the classic English Windsor.
