Indian rosewood and ebonized mahogany, and waxed linen lashing Designed for a large living room this table creates a sweep of
rhythm across its surface. It is designed to support stemware safely
while still allowing the entire structure to be seen at any angle.
The surface appears united as a form even though it's made up of
many individual members. The surface is intended to float aver
the base in a dramatic cantilever while a triangulation of structure
keeps the surface stable. The lower platform to the side is for an ice bucket or bottles
of wine to be available but not taking up space on the main surface.
The image for this object was a floating plane, like a mist over
a pond in the morning, within a large room.
